Henry H. Payton, a retired machinist, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2012, at age 83, after a long and courageous fight with heart disease. Henry was born on September 5, 1928, in Josephine, Texas, to Maud and Perry Payton. The joys of his life were his family, his church, car racing, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Rangers.  Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Robbie; daughter, Gayla Whisenhunt and husband, Gerald of Cedar Hill; daughter, Becky Gose and husband Danny of Ovilla; sisters, Rose Churchwell of Dallas and Dottie Stovall of Houston; grandchildren, Amy James, Jason Whisenhunt, Gina Whisenhunt, and Shawn Gose; great-grandsons, Sean Whisenhunt, Ethan James, Andrew James, and Owen James; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved second family, the Gregory's.  Funeral services are 10:00 am, Monday, February 20, 2012, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel with Rev. Les Grantham officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenville, Texas.  Visitation with the family is 3-5 pm, Sunday.
