Howard Mims Jr. of Duncanville, age 80, passed away January 18, 2012. Howard was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Services are 12:00 noon, January 24, 2012 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville, Texas. Burial will follow at the Dallas - Ft. Worth National Cemetery with full honors. Visitation is 6-8 pm Monday, January 23 at the funeral home. [send flowers]

#11 Monica Harkenrider Radoszewski 2012-01-24 04:36 As we would always greet you, "GIG "EM"! The last time I saw the Aggie was when I was walking my dog and he was tinkering away in his workshop. Even then he was wearing his overalls and was working on a wood project. He said that I had to guess what it was! True to form, the Aggie, had a twinkle in his eye with his half smile on his face and his head tilted! I grew up with the Aggie pulling his pickup truck into the drive way and popping in the back door. It was an automatic relfex to reach for two beers, one for the Aggie and one for the Rabbi, for it was time to either discuss the garden, give advice on automobiles, or just tell lies! Thank you, Colonel for sharing Aggie jokes, resturant & traveling adivce and most of all your wonderful friendship to our father, Ralph. Our family truly will miss you.
