Charles Ray Love, 81, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012, at his home in Midlothian, Texas. Funeral services will be held at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville on Sunday, January 8, 2012, at 2:00 PM. The family will receive visitors on Saturday evening, January 7, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Charles was born in Duncanville, Texas on September 2, 1930 to H. W. “Bud” Love and Lovie Grace Reeves. He attended Duncanville High School and joined the U. S. Army shortly before graduating. He was proud to have served his country and proudly flew the flag at his home. After serving two different times he made Duncanville his home for several years and found a profession in the construction business, both in the home building industry as well as the commercial industry where he oversaw the construction of several small businesses including churches and schools. He retired in 1992, but continued to run errands and do small jobs for local contractors.
Charles loved the Lord Jesus Christ and as he grew weary of the struggles of this life he was looking forward to one day spending eternity with Jesus and other loved ones as well. His life revolved around his grandchildren. He was proud of all of them and in his eyes they could do no wrong. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bobby Joe Love (age 16) and Wilson Love (age 22 months). He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rita; daughter and husband, Beverly and James H. “Buddy” Chapman; granddaughter and husband, Shannon and Jimmy Beaudoin; grandson and wife, Shane and Lori Chapman; as well as great-grandsons, Taylor and Conner Chapman; and great-granddaughters, Karleigh and Addysen Beaudoin; all of Midlothian. He is also survived by two brothers, Billy Love, of Keene, Texas, and Sam Love of Ferris, Texas; and two sisters, Lillie Rogers of Glenn Heights, Texas, and Carol Jean Zbleski of Paris, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
Charles, we miss you already and look forward to the Resurrection Morning when we will be together forever.
